I graduated as economist at the University of Utrecht in 2008 on the topic: “People with a Wajong benefit (Wajong is a Dutch act: Disablement Assistance Act for Handicapped Young Persons) working at employers: a research on the success factors”.
I work for Onbeperkt aan de Slag (in English: ‘Unlimited at Work’), an organisation that brings employers and job-seekers with disabilities in contact with each other. Job-seekers can have easy-going conversations with employers, so that they can know each other, which can lead to more. In four years, about 2.000 job-seekers found a job at an employer by our organisation. I also answer questions of employers, employees and job-seekers about Dutch legislations and regulations concerning work and social security benefits / welfare benefits.
- Hobbies: table tennis, investments / stock markets, watching sports and movies, visiting terraces or having a dinner.
- Activities: my work (see above), member Supervisory Board Voorall (an organisation in the Hague for people with disabilities), ambassador of the Lucille Werner Foundation (a foundation that aims to improve the image of people with disabilities).
- My dreams: an inclusive labour market. And an inclusive society, where people with and without disabilities live together. Although none of us is the same, we are all equal and we deserve the same rights.
Who would I like to interview/important subject:
The inclusive labour market, so I would like to interview any speaker and/or any visitor who has an interest in the labour market.
